Giving Back

The team at Upsite are passionate about giving back to great causes, both locally and across the globe. We understand how all businesses, however big or small, can make gestures that make a huge difference.

We also love to work with organisations that hold similar values. In fact, within our portfolio of clients, many provide ethical and eco-friendly products and services. These include Weaver Green, WAES, Grow Sow Greener, Yoga Field and Sea and Heron Valley.

What have we been up to?

Helping to restore the planet

We are proud to say we have teamed up with Ecologi, an organisation on a mission to help combat the climate crisis. By becoming an Ecologi partner, we can offset our carbon footprint and invest in several global projects which help reduce carbon emissions, including planting trees.

Visit Upsite's forest at Ecologi or discover some of Ecologi’s unique projects both in the UK and worldwide.

Walking for Families in Grief

John Evans, Partner at Upsite, is walking 2,022 miles in 2022 for the charity Families in Grief. This demanding challenge means an average of 5.54 miles per day and is equivalent to walking from his home in Devon to Finnish Lapland in 365 days!

Families in Grief supports children, young people and their families living in North Devon and the Torridge area who have experienced the death of someone close to them. Follow John’s journey or donate to this fantastic cause.

Cleaning up our beaches

Tim Stathers, Partner at Upsite, regularly takes part in beach clean-ups in his spare time. By volunteering with Till the Coast is Clear, he is helping to clear shorelines of plastic pollution.

Through their fantastic work, over 12 tons of plastic and other waste has been removed from the South Devon coast, including designated areas of Oustanding Natural Beauty, SSSI and nature reserves. The organisation inspires positive action and change and uses evidence to encourage lasting shifts in behaviour. Get involved or find your nearest beach clean.

In 2021, Tim also joined a group of athletes who together raised over £50,000 for the Royal Marines Charity by competing in the Royal Marines Iron Challenge.
